As autumn descends upon us in the Centennial State, we look forward to an imaginative season of color, of tradition, and of authenticity. To us, autumn hearkens a sound of the past, bearing analog sounds that couple to life's greatest and most authentic vibrations. For this reason, COjam has chosen Denver's Cosmic Mesa to manifest this marriage of sound and tradition, as our Featured Artist for October, 2015.

Cosmic Mesa is an Americana Grass band based in Denver, CO. The group was formed in March 2014 by guitarist and singer-songwriter, Andrew DeCarlo. Since then, the group has evolved into a highly entertaining arrangement and has been performing shows up and down the Colorado front range. Since their inception, Cosmic Mesa has focused on original songwriting and instrumental compositions. The group's musical performances highlight Andrew DeCarlo and Oren Paisner's progressive singer-songwriting style. In addition, the group boasts the exceptional cosmic skills of Joey Purmort on banjo, Scott Vincent on upright bass, and "Rockygrass Fiddle Champion" Nancy Steinberger on fiddle.

Along with unique originals, the band also plays a mixture of wild fiddle tunes, old traditionals and some choice covers.
