Long-time Colorado music festival grooves at a slower pace

Every summer, Coloradans look forward to a plethora of music and camping festivals held throughout our sunny Centennial State. From the rapidly growing Arise Music Festival in Loveland, CO (August 5-7) to the world-famous Telluride Bluegrass and Jazz festivals (June 16-19 and August 5-7, respectively), patrons can celebrate music, art and life to the soundtrack of some top-touring acts.

As Colorado grows in popularity, so too do our festivals and their widespread intrigue. Presenting its inaugural affair in 2016 is Vertex Festival in Buena Vista, CO, a festival that expects to draw thousands from far and wide with the likes of Odesza, Alabama Shakes and the Trey Anastasio Band at Vertex Festival (also August 5-7).

Don't get me wrong; I am grateful and excited that we live in such a musically-rich state that is able to host so many fantastic events. However, all these festivals share one common aspect that can subjectively be burdensome; their size.

As this concert-goer grows a little older (and hopefully, a tad wiser), the large-scale and high-profile festivals grow less appealing with each passing year. As the crowds grow larger each year, touches of intimacy and local flavor tend to get brushed aside in lieu of profits and excess, creating a corporate environment lacking in peer achievement. And again, these festivals are a great way to experience a wide variety of top-tier bands. But problem number two therefore arises; the cost of the festival can be downright egregious.

Enter The Colorado CampFest, a breath of fresh air amidst the thick and trotted grounds of said costly festivals. Our goal here at COjam is to promote local music and artists, and The Colorado CampFest has been showcasing local talent for nearly a quarter century.

Once an entirely private gathering of friends, The Colorado CampFest reunion is rich in 23 years of traditions, dreams, epic memories and liberated moments of freedom. Combining an elite camping experience with acclaimed live music, The Colorado CampFest is now available to any festival-loving person that wishes to make the minimum donation for admission to the event and join the CampFest Reunion Community.

Now in its 24th year, The Colorado CampFest whole-heartedly provides its guests with an amazing summer experience and simply serves to make people feel free and smile like never before. With a very affordable minimum donation, The Colorado CampFest Reunion is definitely the best, most affordable way to kick off your summer camping & festival season!

Bring your pooch and join COjam riverside at this year's CampFest on Friday & Saturday, June 3-4 and support local music! We all say we support our local artists... Well, here's where you can prove it. Bring your friends and spread the good word!
