STS9 at The Fillmore Auditorium: February 5-6, 2010 [review]

Sound Tribe and Colorado were meant for one another

Banded with hundreds of people all part of your "tribe," you become mesmerized by the relentless groove and visual intensity of Sound Tribe Sector Nine. We were blessed with two full nights this past weekend at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO.

Each set encompassed a great deal of hard hitting STS9 jams, such as "GLOgli," "Kamuy," "When the Dust Settles," and "World Go Round." Could it get any better than that?

I suppose with an encore that began with "From Now On" into "No Woman No Cry," then BACK into "From Now On," it really can get better. STS9 and their extra member, Saxton Waller, continually set the bar higher for live music and visual arts. I, for one, am looking forward to what they have in store for us this summer at Euphoria Music Festival in Austin TX.
